UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern

UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern The national eligibility test is conducted by university grant commission for lectureship and fellowship for junior research. The exam is conducted two times a year. In the month of , the 1st examination is conducted and in January the 2nd examination is conducted.

UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of 3 papers. The UGC NET Question Paper  2017 will consist of only objective questions.

  1. The exam will be held in 2017 in two different sessions as given below –

( 9:30 A.m. to 10:45 A.m. )

1st 100 1
  • No. of questions – Fifty questions must be attempted out of 60 questions.

( 10:45 to 12:00 noon )

1st 100 2


  • the candidate must attempt 50 questions compulsorily

(1:30 to 4:00 p.m.)

2nd 150 3


  • 75 questions should compulsorily attempt by the candidate.

UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern Paper 1 – This test is taken to test the comprehension, reasoning ability, general awareness and divergent thinking of the candidate. This test checks the teaching aptitude of the candidate. 50 questions can be attempted by the candidate out of 60 questions and the one who attempts more than 50 questions, and then his first will be taken into consideration.

UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern Paper 2– This UGC NET Question Paper  2017 is on the basis of the subject selected by the candidate. Each question consists of 2 marks and fifty questions of objective type are to be attempted by them.

UGC NET 2017 Exam Pattern Paper 3–The candidate must attempt 75 questions which are based on the subject they have opted for. The questions are of two marks each. All the questions of paper 2 and 3 are compulsory to attempt (inc. all electives)
